Gone but not forgotten
Scooter Alley - Scooter
Of unrecorded parentage and somewhat unique conformation, Scooter was one of the most capable jumpers you could wish for with the biggest heart and desire to please.. Hugely missed.
Frank the Swank
I inherited Frank from my good friend Ian Russell. Ex racehorse turned advanced event horse; Frank was savage on the ground and had limited showjumping skills but he diligently carted me around numerous events and loved his hunting
Eze
A full thoroughbred by the great New Zealand sire Aberlou; Special won Punchestown and was 8th at Burghley with Blyth Tait. He taught me a huge amount and enjoyed being number one pet pony
Director General
Bernie was an ex racehorse with the heart of a lion. Placing 3rd in his first 4 star at Blair he was lost before fulfilling his enormous potential and is hugely missed
Rupert the Bear
The little pony with the biggest personality. Purchased from Reading Cattle Market for £45 he had a long ridden career before taking on the exceptionally important role of chief travelling companion to the team.
Smart Move
By Welton Crackerjack; Moose was my first event horse and put up with my many mistakes with varying levels of tolerance!
Bachelors Button
Owned by the Painter family, Ba had the least ability but won the most prizes with his level temperament and calm attitude. When he had finished eventing, hunting and even been placed in a hunt race despite his lack of speed, he was the first horse I trained to advanced level in dressage.
Santos
The much loved Ace Lightning raced before turning his hoof to eventing and making it half way around Burghley.
Penrose Corroboree
Pebbly Coco
2001 -2023 Irish bred
Owned by Tilly Hankey and bought for her by her granny, the much missed Jane Beswick, this little hero quickly became a yard favourite with his huge character.
